Week 1 - Anonymity Prevails

You know the feeling.  You wait for something all year and then when it comes it disappoints.

You go to a beer festival and all they have is warm, flat Coors Light.  The disappointment hurts.

Christmas morning...you run downstairs to get GI Joe with the Kung Fu grip and you get the big bunny suit from A Christmas Story.

Well, being commissioner of the pool, I experience the same highs and lows.  The highs, when we get that 36th person into the pool.  The low, when the masses turn on you with harsh accusations.

Well, I know you expect this email.  You are waiting for this blog.  The "rantings of an idiot" are what you wait for during the season.  Well, here's #1.

This week's winner has asked to be kept anonymous.  They claim it's a HIPAA violation if I say who won.  Now, I am not Legal or Medical expert, but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express and there is nothing in HIPAA about if you won a week of the pool.  However, we don't carry insurance against frivolous lawsuits so we will respect the winner's wishes.

The winner had 108 points.  Just 9 more than Tejas Desai with his Triple 2 numbers and 11 points better than Antonio Varano.

Overall:

1) Winner week #1 - 108 (his numbers are 10, 20, 30) and he's writing this blog.  (WHAT, you sell out!!)

2) Tejas Desai - 99

3) Antonio Varano - 97

The current last place person is Rob Watts with a 39.

There are no BYEs this week.

I will put up this week's teams later today.  Have at it.
