Week 17 - Welcome to 202(Too)

Last week, we had our third multiple week winner.  Well, welcome to 2022 because we now have our 4th.  As a motoracing guy once said, "The hardest to win is the first."  I guess once you win one, the second falls into your lap.  Well, Frank Palmeiri goes Groundhog Day and repeats his Week 12 performance with another 103.  Frank rides the Patriots (50), Cardinals (25), and Tampa Bay (28) to the 103.  Frank beats out Adam Kastin (99) and Lee Paciello (98) for the second win.  Congrats Frank.

Now let's get to the season.  We have reached the last week.  I am currently reading this book called "The Monster at the End of This Book" with Grover.

Don't tell me how it ends.  But I am at the last page and the monster is waiting, I am terrified.  We are at the last week of the season and I have the same fear.  We treat these seasons in August and September like the beginning of Marley and Me and by early January we are at the end of the movie and devastated.  We enjoyed the highs (the Pisani and Dolnick tie) and the lows (me winning the first two weeks) and it is almost over.

So hold on to this week.  Cherish it.  You don't want to look back next Monday and realize the season is over and you have nothing left for 9 months.

The overall standings:
1. Drew Costello - 1250  (only needs 83 in the last week to break the all-time high, which was only in a 17 week season)
2. Kathy Garstka - 1225 (where did Kathy come from, but she breaks the Costello hold on the top)
3. Adam Kastin - 1216 (NOOOO, the Kastin rule could benefit Adam Kastin.  There is no justice.)

Harry Mumma Memorial Last Place Award

Jim Slobodjian - 1018  (Had the season ended this week, Jim would have broken Pop DeVasto's record of 1020 in 2018)

Have a nice week.

Harry
