Week 1 - Yorktown!!!!

Welcome to the first weekly email of the 2022 PFE.  I type this with happy fingers as the Eagles pulled out a game they really tried to lose and the Cowboys might have lost their QB for a couple of weeks.  The pool had a pretty ordinary week.  No last minute upsets or lead changes and last night's thrilling (???)  17-16 contest did nothing to change the results.

Now, the subject of this email may have confused most of you.  The one person it did not confuse was Rob Watts.  See Rob is from Manchester in England and every time he pipes up with how England beat the US in soccer or cricket (is that really a sport?), I respond with "that was after we open a can of whoop ass on you at Yorktown".  Now you young whippersnappers probably don't know history, but that was the end of the Revolutionary War (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yorktown_campaign).  Rob has had a tough week, the Queen passed and apparently his driveway flooded.  So it is with great relief for him to learn that he won the week.

Yes, with the Buffalo Bill (31) New York Giants (21) and Kansas City (44), Rob put up 96 points and won the week.   On the other end of the spectrum, Tejas Desai was dealt the NY Jets 3 times (he has the #2 for all three numbers).  The 9 points the Jets put up landed Tejas with 27 and the first last place prize.  So congratulations Rob and Tejas.  Rob, King Charles III wants his tribute.  Jane McGrory finished a close second with 94.

Overall scores:

1) Rob "Yorktown" Watts - 96
2) Steve Magenta - 94
3) Rob Dolnick - 89 (For those of you who know the Dolnick, there is no way I can allow Dolnick to finish 3rd.)

The Harry Mumma Memorial Last Place Position  (Memorial?  You're not dead)
Tejas Desai - 27

Have a good week and the file is attached.

Harry
