Week 15 - Christmas Vacation all over again

Chevy Chase summed it up best...."Hallelujah, Holy S***, where's the tylenol?".  If this week of the NFL did not knock your socks off, nothing will.  The Vikings down 33 and came back to win in Overtime (and Andrew Pisani's head exploded).  Cincinnati was down and out at halftime (17-3) to the GOAT (Former Mr. Gisele Bundchen) and lost 34-23.  The Patriots were headed to overtime and then pulled off the stupidest play of all time which led to Jones on Jones crime as Chandler Jones planted Mac Jones into and through the turf.  The Baltimore Ravens are 9-5 and have not had a WR score a touchdown since week 3!!!  The NFC East, who 2 years ago had a 7-9 team win the division (yes the season used to be 16 games) has all 4 teams in the playoffs.  That would be if the season ended today which would stink since we have 3 weeks left.

Speaking of which, there are only 3 precious weeks left in this season.  You need to hold onto this like a child about to go to college and leave you home without anyone except the lazy husband on the couch (wow did Mirna write this?)

The pool results:

Well, well, well.....another newbie.  This person *checks notes* has sent exactly 2 emails all season.

The first was (and thanks for the referral Luke):

Hi my cousin Luke Paine referred me to your pool. Is it still open?
If so I can PayPal the entry

The second was:

Thanks 2, 28, 29

These two magical emails led to Dallas (34) Minnesota (39) and the Oakland/Los Angeles/Oakland/Las Vegas Raiders (30) for 103.  So Ben Kalin - welcome to the party and you have won this week.  We will expect at least one email this week taunting the people you have vanquished.  Ben beat Tejas Desai (Cowboys * 3) who had 34*3 for 102.  Tejas was probably watching the Cowboys in overtime thinking...."One field goal and I am golden" and then Dak throws an improbable Pick 6 for the loss.  While us Eagles fans were going nuts, Tejas was crying in his eggnog (apologies if you are lactose intolerant).

Lowest score of the week: Brian Costello continues his demolition of the pool with another money week.  Brian won week 10, Split week 13.  Finished last in week 3 and last this week.  Brian had the Cardinals twice (15 * 2) and the aforementioned Ravens for 3.  Brian had 33 and it was not even close.  John Idzik (who is taking this last place prize seriously) had 46 for next to last.

Overall scores (please no Dolnick, please no Dolnick)

1 - Rob Watts - 1141.  Now Rob has had a tough month.  England in the World Cup (Harry Kane sailed his PK over the net).  Then England's two mortal enemies are in the final (France - see wars every 5 years from 1000 BC to Waterloo and Argentina - see war for the Malvinas/Falkland Islands in 1982 and the Hand of God goal in 1986) and Rob is a VERY serious soccer (football in England) fan.  Did I mention he's English....Yorktown!!!  Or is he British?  What's the difference?  Maybe he's both!
2 - Melissa O'Meara - 1106 - yes No Dolnick!!!!  The crowd rejoices as Melissa moves to the top of the pool!
3 - Rob Dolnick - 1104 - WHY GOD WHY!?!?!  So many of you are wondering, why the ill will to Dolnick.  Well, I have known Rob since college.  He gave me the worst nickname ever.  I had to ride the cart with him when we used to play golf and he was MUCH better than me (but in fairness to me the windmill goes faster when I go to hit and I swear the clown moved also).  And then there was October 25, 1986 Rutgers versus Army game at Giants Stadium (Rutgers won 35-7 so give it up for the 1869 National Champions of Football!)

Mike McGrory is making the late charge at 1075

Last Place:
John Idzik - 854 - I told you John was taking this seriously

Next to last, Kathy Garstka-Khan with 875

So Merry Christmas
Happy Hanukkah
Enjoy Festivus (is it the 21st or 23rd)
Happy Kwanzaa
Happy Yap Constitution Day - Saturday - Micronesia
And Happy Boxing Day - Monday (this is an English/British thing from Downton Abbey, but I don't think it's real)

Signed,

The Commish (and no not the show with Michael Chiklis)
